The Sacred Spiral

We see in the spiral the beginning, the end and all that is between.

And not just the human life runs by the spiral, but also nature. We find spirals in so many things, in plants as they sprout from the seed, ferns as they uncurl. Hurricanes as they spiral over the country side, whirlpools as they take things into their depths. So it is easy to see why this symbol means so much to those that learn its ways and secrets.

The spiral is one of the oldest geometric shapes found in the ancient world. It is found in the animal world like on the shells of mollusks or out in universe, a beautiful galaxy, the spiral is a symbol of creation, growth and so much more and used in many cultures to this day.

According to Carl Jung the spiral is an archetypal symbol that represents cosmic force. The Spiral is a sacred symbol that represents the journey and change of life as it unfolds; taking a labyrinth-like passage that leads to Source. The spiral symbol can represent the consciousness of nature beginning from its center expanding outwardly.

The spiral is also a key symbol of the Goddess, the Kundalini Life Force, the flowing and expanding energy flow that liberates consciousness. That’s why so many meditations and techniques are all based on this symbol like the Goddess Vortex, the Buddhic Column etc. The energy pattern of the spiral is: life-inducing, life-protecting and life-supporting. Our DNA and the Golden Ratio as well are all based on the spiral motion. The spiral represents the Universe itself.

So connecting to the spiral energy in all kinds of forms like dancing or art is very beneficial for our development and is healing to our whole being.

I have been painting healing Spiral Paintings in the last few months that are very soothing and rejuvenating to connect to and those resonating with them can purchase them here:

  1. Such wonderful colors and shades in the Universe. On Earth, they are depicted in trees, flowers, stones, oceans. This is the flow. Thank you, Helos. With love.
